Romain with Moustage

And another monthly post it is...
Yeah I know, another Romain...
Sorry...

This time I decided to make the face a little different...
So I did give this little man a moustage!!!
His face was made for it.

The colors are the same as the others.
Personal I can't get enough of the Romains.
They are really fun to paint,
and cause the army is growing it looks better every time!

So this is another figure from
the plastic Asterix bubblegum range
of the '70, long ago but still great!

Yep, another Romain...

Yes as you can see....
This month another Romain came under my brush...

Like all the other Romains, simply colors and such a fun to paint...

Just look of the difference between the original plastic figure
and painted with just a few colors.
Like the figure comes so much a life...

Sometimes I got the question how big these figures are,
well between 2,5 an 3,5 cm high.
In this picture I placed a rule next to it.

The most fun part is when people my age recognize them,
and are amazed how much different they look.

For those who visit my blog before, it must be boring to see
the same figures every time, but I am working on a project
whit a lot of Romain solders, so more will follow (sorry)

I just found a few more Romains on the internet,
so they are waiting to get colorized by me.

(Hope to find more Romains, please let me know when you got one for me)

Have a break

 This month something entirely different.

A sweet courting couple in a rowing boat.

I think he brings her to a romantic spot at the other side...

The nice way the water passes along the boat..

And take a look at the water behind the boat..

In the suitcase are probably the picnic stuff.

A cool small set is is, really fun to paint!

The set is from Sgts' Mess (nr. NC26)
and is a metal set, with a resin boat

For the fun factor I bought in a store with old second hand stuff,
a cup and a spoon, and I have glued it all together.
For the water I used silicone sealant with some paint.
The color of the water turned out green/brown,
but not in the way I had in mind unfortunately.

I made it special for the FIGZ painting competition,
but the others where better and went off with the Cup...
And at the end of the competition, he was so beautiful in front off the Cup,
I had to take a picture just for fun of it, LOL

#

So sorry no cup for me, but a blogpost for you!
Only a teacup it is, hahahaha
Hope you like it!!!

That way to the Gauls

And another Romain I would like to show you this month!

I have panted a few Romains already
but this one was new for me as well

Just simple pointing the way to he village of the Gauls.

Not much to tell about him, just another figure
of the Asterix Bubble gum range of the '70.

But some paint makes him look better
that's for sure!

Strong slave

For those who follow my blog, maybe you recognize this guy ...
Because I have also already painted him in 2013:

As you can see he looks now a bit different
This is the fun part of the hobby, using different colors
making a whole other figure this way!
You can find my old post here

This guy is so impressive, I guess he spends a lot of hours in the gym!

Again a nice figure for my project
I hope you like him this way as well!!
Maybe I will paint him again in another outfit...
If you got a nice suggestion, just let me know!

Yes another figure from the Asterix series
of the '70th bubble gum range.

And another Romain soldier

Sorry but this month a Solder again...
I need a lot of these guys for my diorama,
and I wish I can find more to paint...

If I am right this guy is from the legion of Cleopatra.
But I painted him in the Romain colors
of the solders like in the comic books.
I guess putting him between the real Romains,
he would fit in the scene perfect!

Personal I like these solders a lot
They paint well, and the green and silver do there job.
A finishing touch with white and black line does it.

Looking at the guy unpainted,
I am always glad with the result.

This is also a plastic figure from the bubblegum serie of the 70ths.
Like you find more of them here on my blog...

Hope you like him!

Innkeeper

This month a must have figure...
From Bruegelburg miniatures a 28mm figure

It is a metal figure from a set of 2
the other figure is a waitress

I tried to use colors this guy would wear
some years ago.....

He looks like a nice old innkeeper
thats why I had to buy this guy...

Who wants another beer?

 Cheers!!!
